One of Jeremy’s greatest loves was his ability to connect with nature through walking, running, and biking.  It was part of what made his spirit whole.  After learning of his heart issue, one of his fears was how it was going to impact his ability to continue to enjoy his greatest love.

Unfortunately, he was taken away from us before he could address this problem.  It is in this spirit that we are memorializing his love of nature and the outdoors by planting a tree along the Lake Michigan waterfront with a view of the lake.  This memorial will not only bring additional beauty and life to the park where it is being planted, but his spirit will be embodied in the tree with the spreading of his ashes at its base.  This will also allow anyone who is walking, running, or biking along the lake to stop and remember the remarkable human being that he was and how much we miss him.
